Go on a Journey
Palm trees cast a shadow overhead, and somewhere close a flower has just blossomed in the heat. The air is warm and a little sweet, carrying plumeria and sun-warmed skin. This is a scent for resting in a hammock in the shade and sipping coconut water
Sugar dissolves with tonka beans on the stovetop, and a candle burns low on the windowsill while the light outside turns amber. This is a scent for staying in, when the whole house smells like it's been holding its warmth all day.
The path narrows where the trees grow thicker, and light shines in patches through the canopy. Somewhere close, teakwood mixes with sun-baked bark and sharp morning air. This is a scent for the trail that winds deeper into the woods, no rush to turn back.
Take a walk across the damp sand and into the icy blue ocean. You stand on top of a wet rock with moss and feel the kelp washing ashore against your ankles. Everything out here is bright and fresh.
